Waack to the Future is an internationally acclaimed street dance event in NYC that celebrates the queer, 1970s disco-born dance style of waacking. Hosted by "Queen of Waacking" Princess Lockerooo, the vibrant event features a 1-on-1 Waacking battle, a Waack x K-Pop choreography contest, and extensive dance workshops. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] Get an idea of the explosive energy, drama, and high-energy routines these dancers bring to the floor by watching this Waack To The Future battle highlight: Theme: Waack x K-Pop (uniting underground street dance with global K-Pop energy). Judges: Lip J, Essence, and Onjay. DJ: Prince Wizzard. Main Event Date: Saturday, July 26, 2026 Time: 5:30 PM (Doors); 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Battles + Party) Location: 260 Meserole Street, Brooklyn, NY 11206 [1, 2, 3, 4] Workshops & Intensives Before the battles, you can train with some of the world's top street dancers. Workshop details typically span the same weekend at locations like the Ailey Extension or New York City Center. Dancers learn the groove, musicality, and battle strategies. WAACKLANTA HEAT is a major annual Waacking and street dance festival and competition based in Atlanta, Georgia. The highly anticipated Volume 3 event will take place from August 13-17, 2026.  The festival attracts dancers from across the country for an energy-filled weekend of workshops, competitions, and community connecting activities.  The event features three signature battle categories and a stellar cast of guest judges from across the USA and around the globe:  HEAT 1v1 : 1v1 Waacking BLAZE 1v1 : 1v1 All Styles SPARK 3v3 : 3v3 Waacking Special (with teams formed by the judges from prelims) In addition to the fierce competition, the festival offers several days of workshops, a pool party, a community class, and a farewell dinner.   You can find more details and registration information by checking the official WAACKLANTA Square website or the WAACKLANTA Instagram page
